As the TL Storeroom Operations Supervisor, you'll oversee field storerooms and remote sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and seamless coordination of materials and services. Your role will be pivotal in driving improvements, managing inventory, and fostering relationships with internal and external partners.
You'll also play a vital role in our emergency response team, providing critical support during incidents and ensuring swift, effective action. Additionally, this role involves traveling across the assigned geographic area, primarily day trips, up to 60%.

What you will do
-
Performs the planning, coordination, and management of activities in assigned geographic areas, including resources and material involved with the logistics system. Responsible for driving improvement in the upstream internal customer processes that allow for more effective delivery of customer needs.

Responsible for all logistics and material management operations in assigned area. This includes continuous support of outage emergencies, setting and maintaining stocking levels, managing all storeroom day to day processes, and scheduling deliveries between suppliers, distribution centers, field storerooms/yards and job sites. Responsible for inventory integrity and accuracy in all areas of responsibility, including compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) related issues and for resolving any SOX related gaps as they pertain to inventory.

Maintains and develops relationships with internal customers, external logistics partners, employees, and peers. Leads planning teams focused on delivering safe, efficient, and reliable service. Researches customer concerns and communicates regularly with customers, staff, and peers.

Establish and implement performance measurement systems and standards for safety, environment, customer satisfaction, financial, regulatory relations, and employee performance. Quantify and manage the overall contribution and effectiveness of the supply chain and logistics network.

Maximizes use of existing systems and continually investigates new opportunities in technology.

Ensures compliance with all regulations and laws pertaining to the logistics network including but not limited to: DOT, OSHA, DNR, SOX, Hazardous materials, etc.

Performs all management duties, including budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, salary recommendations, discipline, ensure employees report to work fit for duty, leadership, grievance resolution, coaching, counseling, and modeling Alliant Energy’s Core Values at all times.

Provides recommendations in support of material demand planning and Inventory Optimization initiatives.

Provides support related to emergency response and Incident Command Organization at Alliant Energy.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Purchasing, Materials Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related area. Preferred

Certification Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credentials Preferred
Required Experience
-
5 years of related experience.
Preferred Experience
-
Comprehensive knowledge of materials utilized in Electric and Gas utility construction and maintenance.

Experience with Inventory Management Systems such as ERP, SAP, and Maximo a plus.

Experience with material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management.
Other Requirements

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay Range:
$83,000-$110,000
This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
