Our Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Facility in Hull is advertising for a Team Lead to work within our Hull Blade Factory.

Responsible for effectively leading and motivating a team of production operatives within your work area by promoting teamwork and ensuring effective communication. Continually monitor production processes, adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols while evaluating team performance in order to support performance reviews and ongoing skill development for existing and new team members. Identify and resolve operational issues and collaborate with relevant support functions to implement solutions, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure products meet quality specifications and compliance standards. Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow safety guidelines and participate in safety training.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for APIs (Activity Performance Indicators)/PPIs (Process Performance Indicators) – E.g., Safety, Delivery, Quality, People and Cost targets (Shift and hourly)

  • Accountable for product and process quality with strict adherence to QF/PF (critical quality and process controls)

  • Adherence to company EHS guidelines, acting on safety observations and following incident management system processes to implement immediate containment actions and logging incidents appropriately.

  • Actively participate in Risk assessment reviews for own areas

  • Ensure 5S standards are met, by leading teams to follow procedure

  • Lead the operatives technically, with support from the training department, ensuring right first time is executed within all processes to the agreed quality standards and delivery targets.

  • Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to.

  • Continuous compliance to policy and processes which control and improve behavioral and cultural habits.

  • Ability to work a shift pattern that includes working days, nights, and weekend
