Do you have outstanding operational experience supporting critical business systems coupled with leadership capabilities, strong critical thinking and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast paced and challenging environment?
The RBA is looking to fill a Team Leader position within the Payments Settlements (PS) Department. This is a frontline leadership position that plays an integral role in the day-to-day operation of critical national infrastructure supporting the Australian financial system, including the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS). You will oversee operational and service delivery functions for these key systems and deliver departmental and RBA outcomes.
Payments Settlements Department is responsible for the settlement of interbank obligations arising from the exchange of payments in Australia, the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the settlement of the Reserve Bank's own trading activities.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining the change schedule for PS services. Represent the department on the Bank-wide Change Advisory Board (CAB).

Assessing changes to ensure that operational risks and impacts are appropriately managed.

Working with Information Technology (IT) to plan and co-ordinate the deployment, testing and verification of system upgrades and changes. Prepare key documentation, such as post implementation verification plans and ensure appropriate resources and approvals are in place.

Plan and co-ordinate the annual failover & contingency testing program on behalf of PS.

Assist with project based tasks focused on operational readiness and verification.

Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively and efficiently achieve area outcomes.

System changes/upgrades change management
To be successful in this critical role you will possess;
-
Experience in a business operations role overseeing and being accountable for delivering service delivery functions for a critical system.

Proven experience planning and co-ordinating routine changes to business systems (including planning, specifying, testing and documentation).

Knowledge of information technology service, change and incident management disciplines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Bank and externally.

Ability to work with Information Technology professionals on complex technical matters.
The following would also be considered advantageous:

Knowledge of payment system technologies and operations.

Experience co-ordinating the timely resolution of incidents.

Tertiary qualifications or ITIL certification.
