Our Syncrude Mildred Lake Mine Operations team is looking for a front line shift Supervisor, you will be the point of contact for day-to-day operations . You will work with the area maintenance coordinator, operators, and engineers to ensure operational and maintenance concerns are handled in a risk-based prioritized manner.
Minimum Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years of equipment operations experience
• Proven operations leadership experience
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Clean Drivers Abstract
• You have proven safety-focused and growth mindset as well as proven dedication to operational excellence (safety, people, sustainability, and reliability)
• Proficient skillset in SAP, OLT, MS office specific to excel, Visio is considered an asset
• Demonstrated strong decision-making, ability to prioritize the work, and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills to form positive relationships with diverse groups of people competing for resources
• Highly motivated and committed to achieving the best results and delivering the most value with the teams you work with
Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure all operating crews are kept informed of issues that impact equipment performance or availability
• Provide guidance and expertise to achieve optimized operations while reaching production targets
• Establish maintenance priorities in collaboration with the area maintenance coordinator
• Communicate daily operating instructions, activities, and key performance measures at the daily area team meeting with an emphasis on safe work execution
• Provide daily operating instruction to crews, ensuring all operating targets are being met and equipment is ready for maintenance, as scheduled
• Assist in the development of work scope, and assist with safe work plans for high-risk or non-routine activities
• Provide cross-functional team expertise for incident investigations
• Communicate to production planning and other operating areas of any operating issues which may impact their ability to meet production targets or impact reliability
Location and other Key Details:
• You will work out of our Mildred lake Location in Fort McMurray, AB
• You will work a 3 days/3 nights/6 days off schedule. These are 12 hour shifts
