Job Description
Are you passionate about software engineering and eager to collaborate with an international team of experts? Do you have a keen interest in observability platforms and aspire to contribute to a globally leading product?
Join one of our Licensing teams, where we're developing the next-generation account and subscription management platform. Our mission is to provide valuable insights into feature usage for our customers and internal customer-centric roles, along with notifications and functionality to control feature usage at various levels.

In Licensing, our teams specialize in microservices within their respective domains. These microservices are hosted in the cloud, utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration. Our tech stack primarily includes the latest versions of Java, Kafka, and Jetty, while our tool stack features Jenkins, ArgoCD, Gradle, and Terraform. We store data in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and the Dynatrace data lakehouse, Grail. Through automation, we ensure that all libraries we use are consistently updated to their latest versions.
Responsibilities:
- Care about collaboration, knowledge sharing, motivation, and performance within the team.
- Mentor team members and help them along their growth path in Dynatrace, empowering them to take on more responsibilities.
- Conduct 1:1 and personal feedback talks with team members to support their growth and development.
- Advocate for Dynatrace's culture, promoting its values and principles within the team.
- Inform the team about company decisions or updates and implement them at the team level.
- Provide information about staffing needs, ensuring the team is adequately resourced.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for our account, subscription, and usage-tracking platform.
- Develop functionalities to oversee account lifecycle and subscriptions, track and report usage, offer insights into costs and product utilization, and enable control over feature usage.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the software.
- Take ownership of your services and features and fully utilize Dynatrace to monitor and optimize your applications.
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience in software development.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development or comparable programming language.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of software engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative and motivational team member with a proactive approach.
