Harbor is seeking a Team Lead (Intapp) to join our growing team.  The Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of implementation engineers to complete the successful implementation of Intapp software solutions, ensuring that projects meet client requirements and delivering exceptional value. In this role, you will lead a team of Implementation Engineers, guiding them through the technical complexities of software configuration, integration, and deployment. As the leader of your team, you will play a crucial role in technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and optimizing team performance throughout the implementation process. Additionally, you will mentor your team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning, technical excellence, and innovation. 

In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will provide work direction for direct reports to ensure steady workflow and productivity levels while resolving operational decisions. You will also contribute to key team management decisions, including hiring, firing, promotions, and performance evaluations for your direct reports. 

This role requires a deep understanding of software implementation processes, strong technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Team Lead reports to the Director of Implementation and is instrumental in delivering high-quality software solutions that exceed client expectations. 

This is a fully remote or hybrid position that can be worked from anywhere in the UK.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Implementation Engineers, directing daily work activities for direct reports on tasks assigned from project managers.  
  • Lead Software Implementations: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and integration of software solutions to meet client requirements and industry standards for projects assigned to your team when no project manager is assigned. 
  • Technical Guidance: Provide support and troubleshooting to Implementation Engineers, optimizing software performance and implementation efficiency throughout the implementation lifecycle. 
  • Team Mentoring: Mentor and develop team members, including new hires. Create an environment of continual learning and identify opportunities for personal and career advancement for team members.   
  • Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively to ensure a steady utilization of >= 80% for team members. Work in collaboration with project managers to overcome resource constraints on projects.  
  • Engineer and Client Escalations: Act as the first line of escalation for implementation engineer and client issues, addressing and resolving problems to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Performance Management: Provide input into hiring, firing, promotions, and performance evaluations for direct reports. Participate in the interviewing of Implementation Engineer candidates. 
  • Process Improvement and Documentation: Recommend and implement enhancements in systems and implementation processes. Maintain comprehensive documentation of implementation processes, technical issues, and solutions that contribute to achieving departmental goals and objectives. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including client teams, project management, sales and teams outside the Intapp department at Harbor, to deliver successful client engagements.  
  • Intapp Certifications: Obtains and renews yearly Intapp product certifications and stays up to date on the latest product releases.  
  • Utilization: Consistently maintains a utilization level of >= 75% of time spent on client-billable projects.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience: 
    • 7+ years of experience in software/IT project implementation or development, particularly in a customer-facing role with significant responsibilities. 
    • 3+ years of experience in people management is preferred. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with the firm’s services, clients, or prior experience in the legal/accounting software or consulting industry is highly desirable. 
  • Skills and Expertise: 
    • Proficiency in managing others, problem-solving, and maintaining a customer-focused approach. 
    • Strong skills in stakeholder communication, collaboration, process documentation, organizational support, and quality assurance. 
    • Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and honesty in all professional activities. 
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the country of residence without restriction or sponsorship. 
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing a high volume of tasks and performing other essential duties. Work occasionally requires more than typically scheduled work hours to perform the essential duties of the position.
