Tax Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
- Ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
Tax Planning
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and strategies.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the company.
Tax Reporting
- Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax information in financial reports.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure proper documentation and reporting of tax-related items.
- VAT, WHT, salary tax, social insurance monthly submissions to the tax authority
- Yearly tax return submission & monthly tax return submission to HQ.
Audit and Risk Management
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective controls and processes.
- Keep abreast of tax law changes and assess their impact on the company.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to support business initiatives.
- Provide tax support for corporate transactions.
- Collaborate on international tax planning and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate environment or Big 4.
- Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
