Job Responsibilities

Assist with apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity, and indirect taxes
-
Support state tax forecasting and planning, gaining exposure to tax law and regulations
-
Assist in coordinating US State and Local income and franchise tax accrual processes
-
Help review State and Local tax returns under the guidance of senior team members
-
Support the implementation of state tax planning for corporations, individuals, and partnerships
-
Assist with tax engine consulting, optimization, and training for clients
-
Focus on areas including income/franchise taxes, business licenses, sales & use taxes, property taxes, and state credits/incentives
-
Contribute to thought leadership related to multistate income/sales tax legislation
-
Conduct multistate research to support filing positions and tax planning strategies
-
Help develop tools to improve clients' tax compliance processes and efficiency
-
Provide support in identifying opportunities for business and process improvements related to SALT filings
Requirements
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related discipline
-
Eligible to sit for the CPA exam

Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Word

Strong knowledge of tax reporting, tax research, and tax planning on a multi-state level
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and team oriented professional
-
Ability to work independently as well as in groups, responsive, eager, dynamic
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation

CPA or equivalent credential (i.e, JD. CPA, or EA)
-
1 year of experience in state and local tax in public accounting or related field is strongly preferred
-
Knowledge of Power-BI, Alteryx, OneSource, GoSystems, advanced Excel skills, or comparable

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. In Northern California, the compensation range for this position: $77,000. In Colorado, the compensation range for this position: $70,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
