TEAM
The Learning & Development function is part of the Human Resources team. It is a small team currently but this role is a sign of the company’s growing focus on employee development in order to help the company meet critical business goals and ensure employees are engaged and excited about their development opportunities within the organization.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
The Learning & Development function is responsible for building the global infrastructure to support the growth and development of all talent at Woven by Toyota. The Learning & Development Program Manager will work alongside the Head of Learning & Development to design, implement, and manage talent development programs and processes, especially: leadership development programs, cross-functional training and learning, talent assessment & development frameworks, and talent management processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-create, deploy and manage priority development initiatives, including leadership development programs across multiple layers, people manager training, employee-onboarding, cross-functional capability building, and other organizational development initiatives.
- Co-create and implement processes for effective talent management and succession planning across the global organization.
- Co-create and implement talent development programs such as mentoring, executive coaching, talent rotations, and secondment/assignments.
- Co-create, promote and implement talent assessment and development frameworks, such as competency and capability frameworks.
- Enable a proactive learning culture by enhancing our learner experience and learner communications.
- Leading group facilitation or training in both Japanese and English will be required in this role.
- Integrate or develop the platforms or systems to digitize information about our talent and their development.
- Manage and leverage relationships with external vendors.
- Alignment with key internal stakeholders cross functionally.
- Identify and manage appropriate effectiveness metrics and other reporting to assess business impact of talent and learning & development programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years developing and implementing talent development programs and processes for a global organization
- Experience in training & content development and facilitation
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong understanding of the talent management cycle, including processes and programs in performance management, career development, succession planning, and education and training
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous global business environment
- Successful track record working cross culturally
- Strong consultative and diagnostic skills
- Possesses high sense of urgency
- Effective self-management and project management ability
- You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves, designing from the ground up with an iterative approach, and following up on the implementation details
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Japanese and English language business level proficiency is required
