HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Talent Development Specialist supports the coordination, development, delivery, and evaluation of enterprise-wide learning programs that align with organizational goals and enhance employee capabilities. This role acts as a collaborative partner to business leaders, HR teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and implement impactful training solutions. The Talent Development Specialist combines strong program coordination skills with growing expertise in instructional design and learning management systems (LMS), including Workday Learning.

This role requires a proactive, positive, service-minded professional with a passion for learning and development. The Talent Development Specialist is a self-starter and can execute under minimal supervision. This role reports to the VP – Talent Development, Enterprise Engagement & Change and is an individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and contributes to the success of the Talent Development function.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Program Coordination
    • Manage the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, participant communication, and tracking attendance
    • Act as a primary point of contact for program participants, stakeholders, and facilitators to ensure seamless program execution
    • Gather and analyze feedback to continuously enhance learning programs
  • Workday Learning (LMS) Administration
    • Collaborate on the administration of Workday Learning (LMS), including managing course content, tracking enrollment, and troubleshooting system issues
    • Support LMS governance and provide recommendations to optimize platform functionality and user experience
    • Generate and analyze LMS reports to evaluate program effectiveness and learner engagement
  • Content Development & Facilitation
    • Assist in the development and editing of instructor-led and eLearning training content, applying basic instructional design principles (e.g., ADDIE) and tools
    • Support the creation of training materials, including presentations, handouts, and eLearning modules using tools like Articulate Rise
    • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions, tailoring delivery methods to meet diverse learner needs
    • Build opportunities for continuous learning by staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative approaches to talent development
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Partner with HR teams, SMEs, and business leaders to identify learning needs and align training solutions with organizational objectives
    • Provide consultative support to stakeholders by recommending solutions to address talent development requirements
    • Contribute to broader talent development initiatives, supporting the execution of enterprise-wide priorities

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Consultative Skills: Demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide recommendations to address learning needs
  • Program Coordination: Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage logistics for multiple training initiatives; ability to prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Workday Learning) and tools like Articulate Rise
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse audiences; highly motivated and positive with strong listening skills
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying current with trends and best practices in talent development
  • Autonomy: Proactive and self-driven with the ability to autonomously work with an elevated level of initiative and urgency

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent development, or related roles, including consulting with stakeholders to align learning solutions with business needs
  • Experience with instructional design principles and eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate Rise) and other eLearning platforms to support content creation
  • Experience with Workday Learning (LMS) administration, including content management, system configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Experience supporting LMS administration and facilitating learning programs (virtual and in-person)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: MS OneNote, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, and MS Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
