Who you are:
As an IT Talent Development Leader, you are responsible for the overall onboarding, technical development, and training of IT staff. In this role, you will enhance existing practices and design new programs to optimize IT talent for both new and existing IT staff in the organization. You will be responsible for identifying web-based trainings and industry standard certifications which can help in upskilling to be part of the employee's goals and objectives, and you will stay current on industry trends and best practices. More than that, this role is about developing people and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.
What you’ll do:

Oversee the implementation of comprehensive talent development programs for IT staff aligned with the company’s goals and objectives; partner with adjacent organizations like HR and Staff Development at Frost when needed

Listen for and identify the training and competency development needs of new hires and existing staff based on talent planning discussions and career tracks (Engineering, Product, Scrum Master etc.)

Track training metrics for new hires and existing IT groups to report and track progress and results and identify improvements, as needed

Identify web-based trainings and industry standard certifications which can help in upskilling or reskilling to be part of the employee’s goals and objectives

Own the change management required to implement people-oriented programs and initiatives, including developing and executing change plans and communication strategies

Develop and document IT career paths in partnership with IT organization leaders and HR partners

Partner with HR to enhance existing recruiting practices and develop new recruiting channels both internal and external to Frost

Mentor and support IT staff as they progress through the training program

Stay current on industry trends and best practices in software engineering training

Structure and maintain a central repository for Talent documentation that is accessible to IT leaders and individual contributors

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience in IT and/or learning and development

5+ years of experience in technology or software engineering

3+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or a management and mentorship role

Experience successfully creating and spearheading a critical and large initiative within an organization

Analytical skills and mindset to work with data from various sources to form conclusions and formulate action plans

Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement and listening skills, with the ability to build relationships, synthesize feedback and influence across all levels of the organization

Demonstrated ability to deliver through strong planning and organizational skills and an ability to lead and manage projects and initiatives

Experience developing others at scale in a technology organization
Additional Preferred Skills:

Experience in classroom-based adult education where technology concepts are taught

Demonstrated ability to evaluate learners on their mastery of technology topics
