Talent Acquisition Manager will lead the development and execution of global talent acquisition strategies for both shipboard and shoreside roles, focusing on hard-to-fill positions and strategic talent branding. This hands-on role will involve direct involvement in recruitment processes, building talent pipelines, and partnering with people leaders to ensure the organization attracts top-tier talent. The Director will also serve as a visionary leader, driving innovation in recruitment practices and establishing the company as an employer of choice in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Strategy Development:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of global talent acquisition strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, focusing shoreside positions.
  • Develop action plans to address hard-to-fill roles, leveraging market insights and innovative sourcing techniques.
  • Establish and continuously refine a talent branding strategy that elevates the company’s visibility as a premier employer across global markets.

Hands-On Recruitment Leadership:

  • Actively participate in the full recruitment cycle for key positions, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Lead and manage high-impact recruitment campaigns for global roles, ensuring consistent messaging and quality candidate experiences.
  • Drive proactive talent pipeline development through sourcing strategies, partnerships with industry groups, and targeted outreach initiatives.

Partnership with People Leaders:

  • Build strong, consultative relationships with business and HR leaders, providing insight into talent market conditions and aligning recruitment strategies with business needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, competencies, and hiring timelines, ensuring successful talent placements.

Innovative Recruitment Practices:

  • Serve as a thought leader by introducing cutting-edge talent acquisition practices, including leveraging technology, AI-driven recruitment tools, and enhanced candidate engagement platforms.
  • Implement and drive strategies to ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay ahead of recruitment trends and continually innovate recruitment practices to maintain a competitive advantage.

Talent Branding & Employer Value Proposition (EVP):

  • Establish a robust employer branding strategy that highlights the company’s values, mission, and culture, positioning it as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to promote the company’s talent brand through social media, career events, and internal programs.
  • Develop internal advocacy programs to engage employees in the talent branding strategy, building referral networks and improving the visibility of open positions.

Hard-to-Fill Role Action Plans:

  • Develop customized recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill roles, including niche positions for shoreside teams.
  • Leverage global market data and partnerships to identify talent pools, design targeted sourcing plans, and engage specialized recruiters or agencies when necessary.
  • Utilize creative and non-traditional recruiting methods, such as partnerships with industry organizations, recruitment events, and talent communities.
  • Strong sourcing strategy techniques.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Encourage team members to think creatively about recruitment challenges and continuously improve their skills through ongoing development opportunities.
  • Ensure team alignment with overall HR and business goals while promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Global Acquisition Strategy:

  • Lead global recruitment efforts by adapting strategies to fit regional and market-specific needs, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Drive consistency in recruiting practices across geographies, while also respecting the unique cultural and talent needs of each market.
  • Partner with external vendors, such as recruitment agencies and Employer of Record (EOR) services, to support global hiring initiatives when necessary.

Data-Driven Recruitment:

  • Use data and analytics to track recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, and cost-per-hire.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on recruitment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing actionable solutions.
  • Leverage talent market analytics to inform hiring forecasts, talent sourcing strategies, and competitive compensation packages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition with a proven track record of leading global recruitment strategies, ideally in shoreside contexts.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in full-cycle recruitment, including direct involvement in filling executive, technical, and specialized roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and innovative sourcing techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and hiring managers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive recruitment strategies and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in global recruitment.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, and recruitment tools (e.g., Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the maritime, hospitality, or luxury sectors.
  • Global recruitment experience with an understanding of multi-national hiring complexities.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition strategies for hard-to-fill, highly specialized roles.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid, 3 days onsite 2 remote working in a typical office environment.
  • Work is dynamic where sitting is required most of the time, however walking and standing are required frequently. Visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading documents, reports, and emails.
  • Approximately 10-30% of travel, including working at shipyards, working internationally, and working aboard our cruise ships.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a background check

What We Do

Designed to combine the luxury lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton® and the casual freedom of a yachting vacation, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer voyages on three custom-built yachts. Calling on unique and distinguished destinations alike, most voyages range from seven to ten nights, offering many overnight calls and uniquely curated experiences ashore. Each yacht will feature 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and accommodate up to 298 guests in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. As with The Ritz-Carlton® on land, each yacht will feature personalized service, elevated dining and luxury amenities. The yachts are also available for private charter.
