We are looking for a Systems Technology Engineer & Proof of Concept Developer to join our Core Technologies – Systems team at our HQ in Lund, Sweden.

As part of the Core Technologies – Systems (CTS) team you will be working together with people across the entire Axis organization in order to ensure our ability to deliver new and exciting products and solutions that make the world a smarter and safer place. Advances in fields such as connectivity, IoT, Cloud Computing, SW development and AI are rapidly changing how our solutions and products are developed, used and integrated with other systems. Understanding the opportunities and challenges associated with these technical fields is a central part of our mission to empower both Axis R&D and our partners to outperform the competition.

What you’ll do here as System Technology Engineer

By combining Axis solutions with external platforms and solutions we can solve complex challenges within IoT, security, safety and operational efficiency. Working with next generation systems often means combining a diverse set of tools, components and solutions. We do this by building proof of concepts which means both learning about new technologies and a lot of hands-on development. An ability to pass on what you have learned and demonstrate the use of your work is also key, as is the ability to working together with experts in other fields to develop solutions involving many types of products and technologies. Typical assignments include:

• Proof of concept system development including wireless technology
• New API-technology investigations and development
• Development of software orchestration and deployment technology

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

A programming background is needed as well as interest in learning new programming languages and techniques.
 

For this role we believe you have technical master’s degree and have professional experience from system integration, development of proof of concepts or cyber physical systems. If you have experince of wireless technology we consider it a bonus. As part of the CTS team you will have an opportunity to push the boundaries of system technology while developing your own skills together with the team. We also believe that you are inspired by working with future technology on a 3-5 year horizon.
