How You Will Make an Impact:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of accessories, applications, product enhancements, and control systems for advanced power systems. The primary role will be to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop power system components and sub-systems that meet project and product requirements.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3d models and engineering drawings.
- Optimize power generation, transmission, and distribution systems for efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Integrate renewable energy sources into power systems, considering their impact on grid stability and performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis for power systems designs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of power systems within larger projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for design processes, specifications, and standards.
- Specify, select, and test electrical equipment such as transformers, generators, switchgear, and protective devices for optimal performance.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation of power systems designs.
- Continuously optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power systems design.
- Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff.
- Works with teams of engineers and product specialists to ensure design and performance specifications are achieved.
- Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
- Utilize specialized software for simulation and modeling to analyze power flow, transient stability, and fault conditions.
- Manage projects related to power system design, upgrades, and installations, ensuring adherence to timeliness and budget constraints.
- Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
- Offers technical guidance and support in response to testing and analysis.
- Ensures design and performance specifications compliance by reviewing and testing the designed systems.
- Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
- Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
- Use the correct tools and use them safely.
- Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
- Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of power system principles, electrical circuits, and energy conversion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and rapid prototyping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.

Founded organically by Permian operators, Atlas provides the Oil & Gas industry access to the largest, highest quality frac sand reserves in West Texas. This local sand advantage will reduce well costs and remove the risk of delayed or lost delivery associated with long distance transportation.
Atlas has expansive reserves on both ends of the West Texas sand play with the large open Kermit Dune position to the north and the giant open Monahans Dune position to the south. This gives Atlas the unique ability to be the closest local sand provider to more wellheads than any of its counterparts.
