Everbridge is seeking a French speaking System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.

What you'll do:
- Designing and conceptualizing system architecture
- Analyzing requirements and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Collaborating with global teams, including Project Managers and Developers
- Deploying applications on Windows and Linux servers
- Managing database deployments
- Debugging software and resolving technical issues
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers
- Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts)
- Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache)
- Knowledge of software update management and patching
- Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)
- Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash
- Understanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS)
- Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus)
- Experience in GIS (a plus)
Additional Qualification
- Fluent in French; strong English communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux environments
- Familiarity with CAD/Command and Control Systems (a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, and innovative with a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work well under pressure and support business-critical systems
- Strong customer-facing skills with an ability to adapt to different cultures
