DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Work on projects related to both trade and communications surveillance, specifically data-driven threshold tuning and optimization, surveillance coverage, and innovation, while liaising with business, technology, and compliance colleagues around the globe. Drive strategic surveillance enhancements and initiatives across both trade and communications on a global scale, with a focus on regional regulatory needs, which aid in Surveillances ability to identify and escalate instances of potential market volatility, as well as employee misconduct. Work with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies that tie into compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Surveillance Lead, Surveillance Analytics Associate, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: working on strategic initiatives within a regulatory oversight, Compliance, or surveillance role environment; defining requirements, conducting analysis, and performing user acceptance testing (UAT); translating quantitative information into actionable insights that can be leveraged by both analytic and non-analytic staff; designing and developing interactive MS Excel and MS Powerpoint reports using advanced functionalities including lookup, index match, data analysis add-ons, pivots; using Tableau and Alteryx to create interactive visualizations of datasets which allow others to manipulate data, analyze data, and understand output; performing statistical analysis using machine learning methods including logistic regression, multivariate regression, classification techniques, attribution, cohort analysis, associative rule mining and predictive modeling; and collaborating with individuals across business lines. This position requires knowledge of the following skills: emerging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies in the surveillance space, including natural language processing and large language models; regulatory guidance such as FINRA, FCA, ASIC, or other global regulators as it relates to a company's surveillance obligations; and vendor-based surveillance tools, specifically Nasdaq OMX SMARTS.

Full-Time. Salary: $190,000 - $199,000 per year.
