Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Support Programs Manager – Executive Transport (Level K) to join our International Head of State team in Oklahoma City, OK.
The project management specialist will lead a team responsible for the program structure and responsibilities, execution controls, resource definition / requirements, and performance management systems / processes in support of on-contract aircraft support programs while growing the business through proposal activities and new business acquisition
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees that develop projects and program plans at all levels across functional areas and executes all project phases to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of strategic and tactical program approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Responsible to establish and maintain communications with internal (cross functional / cross business) personnel and external (customer / supplier) representatives concerning operations, scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
- Manages team to perform proactive obsolescence management, forecast / coordinate fleet upgrades and maintenance activities, customer logistics support, training, service bulletin / airworthiness directive application, and proposal activity.
- Manage third-party Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities in support of fleet upgrades and maintenance.
- Interface with international customers and on-site global field service teams to support critical no-fail missions for customers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in team or project leadership
- 5+ years of experience in operating International or US military programs
- 5+ years of experience with Supplier/Contracts/Program Management practices and processes
- 5+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
- 5+ years of experience in project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and customers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
- PMP Certification

Travel:
Willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for $104,550 - $141,450
