THE ROLE & THE TEAM 

You will be part of the Supply Planning & Trading team of Lounge by Zalando. This team is responsible for planning and monitoring financial and operational performance of Lounge supply and inventory. The team plans and monitors the supply targets and inventory levels, as well as other quality KPIs. This team works closely with markets and pricing teams in Lounge to ensure alignment between supply and sales plan.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Understand business ambitions of the organisation and continuously improve the supply and inventory planning approach for Lounge to serve those ambitions and produce measurable results

  • Independently review and analyse business and proactively identify root causes for over or under performances in order to inform and communicate to all stakeholders and senior management

  • Provide guidance on pre-/in-season buying decisions against plans to achieve profitable growth, optimise purchase decisions and maximise inventory utilisation. Contributing to optimal in-season supply management

  • Close collaboration with Buyers in developing category strategy for a commercially well balanced portfolio

  • Take part in and contribute to projects, oftentimes cross functional, to deliver step changes in the business

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have experience in business planning (demand/supply/merchandising) of at least 3 years in retail. Experience in fashion retail or eCommerce is a big plus.

  • You have an undergraduate degree in finance, engineering, science, business or a related field. Masters or advanced degree in business administration is a plus.

  • You are fluent in English and have excellent communication and storytelling skills. People appreciate your hands-on mentality and your ability to always find simple and efficient solutions to challenges

  • You find it easy to stay on top of things, even in a very dynamic environment with fast-paced changes. Customer centricity is in your blood, and you’re always keen to support stakeholders needs

  • You have excellent proficiency on Excel, Google Sheets or similar software to create complex models and to run your own analysis. Tableau knowledge is a plus
