We are looking for a talented and dynamic Central America Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Guatemala. This position will play a critical role in leading and executing the supply chain strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering customer-centric results across the Central American region.
The Opportunity:
As the Central America Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations across the region, ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies while meeting local market demands.
You will manage and lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize logistics operations. This role will act as a key partner to business functions and contribute to the overall success of the supply chain organization within Roche.
1. Strategy & Leadership

Lead the execution of the supply chain strategy for the Central America region in alignment with global, regional, and local priorities.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement in supply chain processes to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Develop and implement talent management initiatives, including hiring, training, and mentoring the supply chain team.

Act as a key business partner to the commercial organization, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to shape the supply chain strategy.

Collaborate with the teams in the execution of S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes, ensuring accurate demand forecasting and alignment with inventory management.

Develop and implement strategies with distributors in central america to maintain last mile customer satisfaction.
2. Operations Management

Oversee logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, quality topics, last mile distribution, and third-party logistics providers (3PL).

Ensure that supply chain operations meet all service-level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost targets.

Manage international transit and customs processes, working closely with customs agents and external partners to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Optimize the end-to-end supply chain, from demand planning to distribution, to improve the customer experience and reduce operational costs.

Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products, resolving operational issues, and maintaining strong relationships with external partners.

Manage distributors relationships for improve processes.
3. Procurement and Supply Chain Integration

Manage supplier relationships and collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure supply chain integration and synergy across markets.

Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the availability of materials and products to meet market demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Ensure that the supply chain processes comply with all regulatory standards, both locally and globally.
4. Financial & Performance Management

Monitor and manage supply chain-related costs and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are used efficiently.

Continuously track and optimize KPIs related to inventory, distribution costs, Write off and order fulfillment.

Implement and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining a focus on service quality and customer satisfaction.
5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead a cross-functional team of logistics and supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Collaborate with global supply chain teams to identify and implement best practices across the network.

Participate in regional and global supply chain leadership teams, contributing insights and solutions to drive the company’s overall strategic objectives.
Who you are:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Postgraduate studies in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical devices, or FMCG industries, particularly in multinational organizations. Experience in handling 3PL management, trade compliance, and international logistics is a plus.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and lead a diverse team.

Excellent communication skills in both English (advanced level required) and Spanish.

Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including warehousing, distribution, procurement, and demand planning.

Solid experience in project management, driving process improvements, and operational excellence.

Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.

Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with regulatory and trade compliance, particularly in customs and international trade.

Experience working in a networked and agile organization.
