Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role 
The Supplier Engineer concentrates on all aspects of supplier management, supplier process & material changes. This role provides technical support for product manufacturing lines. The Supplier Engineering Team is responsible for the pending Component Qualifications. 

Responsibilities:

• Performs quality processes, including change control, supplier non-conformance, and quality agreements.
• Participate in local site supplier quality meetings to ensure communication and alignment of quality initiatives.
• Provide timely business support for the assigned Source Quality Management (SQM) function globally.
• Collaborate across functions to confirm if non-conformances are supplier-related as applicable.
• Implement supplier change management process including change notification, dissemination of information, impact assessment, approval of changes, and supports material/supplier qualifications.
• Support alignment with enterprise standards and perform gap assessments.
• Develop relationships with internal partners, including Procurement/ Sourcing, Planning, Material and Supplier Engineering, Quality Assurance, R&D, and suppliers.
• Lead, develop, and implement supplier/purchasing controls and associated activities, including the identification, selection, qualification, monitoring, and disengagement of suppliers for Source Quality Management.
• Develop/implement a Quality Risk Management process for supplier-related matters with partnerships of subject-matter guides.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Supplier Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in statistical tools, such as Minitab.
• Proficiency in report writing and presentation skills.
