About the Role
This position is an Opto-Mechanical engineering internship within the Ready Vision team of Intelligent Cockpit delivering advanced reflective display technology for Automotive.
What You Will Do
-
Assist Optical and Mechanical Engineers with troubleshooting and bench testing of Heads Up Displays
-
Develop Benches and Jigs necessary for inspection, testing, and displaying Display Modules
-
Prepare engineering analysis to support development of current and next gen augmented reality solutions.

Prepare technical reports and presentations for communication between employees, suppliers, and customers as necessary.

Assist Optical and Mechanical engineers with lab measurements/experiments

Utilize basic Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Support in basic 2D/3D CAD Development (Catia V5)

Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need
-
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.

Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Must have taken courses in, or closely related to, Mechanical or Optical engineering, Physics, or closely related STEM fields.

Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives.

Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
What is Nice to Have
-
Familiarity with CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks, NX, etc.).

Possess strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.

Possess knowledge of basic Engineering Lab tools and procedures.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
What Makes You Eligible
-
Be willing to work in an office/hybrid schedule in Novi, Michigan.

Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
-
Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week.

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00
Master: $32.00
Doct: $38.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
