This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in refinery operations and optimization. You'll work on a variety of tasks that directly impact both daily operations and long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Fuel blending
• Logistics (pipeline, rail, and truck)
• Value Chain Planning
• Data Collection and Analysis
• Collecting and analyzing data for the Daily Operating Plan
• Supporting the initial stages of planning for capital investment projects
• Testing and modeling stream and tank samples to improve laboratory efficiency and minimize product giveaway
• Oversee gasoline blending functions, ensuring alignment with pipeline schedules and truck rack demand
• Prepare and deliver presentations to summarize project progress and contributions
• Participate in daily refinery operations meetings, monitor refinery blends, prepare blending reports, and contribute to team updates

Qualifications 

• Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
• Available to begin work on or around May 5th, 2025
• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program, specifically Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil

Education 

• Must be enrolled in an Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
• Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered 
• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities

Safety Sensitive

• This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours
• Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements
