As a Strategy & Innovation Analyst you will be responsible for researching, conducting financial analysis, and developing business propositions, with a deliberate focus on partnership and acquisition opportunities. Be at the forefront of strategic growth in our Motoring & Home Services division.
What will you be doing?
- Conducting detailed research, to inform the business of industry trends, the competitive landscape and prevailing market conditions to support identification of merger, acquisition, and partnership opportunities.
- Developing financial models to assess the viability and potential returns of prospective investment transactions.
- Preparing detailed financial and business analysis on potential acquisition targets, including evaluation of financial statements, assessing effectiveness of business operations and position within market.
- Supporting due diligence activities, including verification of business information, conducting risk assessments and assessments of regulatory requirements and implications
- Producing high-quality business cases, feasibility analysis, project scope, and project requirements documentation, project planning, and project delivery.
- Developing and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, professional service providers and industry advisors.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Innovation, or a similar field.
- Extensive experience as an Analyst in business development with commercial expertise.
- Experience across Mergers and Acquisitions is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in market scanning of external trends and intelligence analysis, effectively synthesising business insights into commercial opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience working with new product development processes, including exposure to human-centered design and/or agile innovation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and working in small, multidisciplinary, entrepreneurial, and adaptive teams of internal and external resources.
