YOUR MISSION

As the Strategic Finance Manager at True Anomaly, you will report to the Director of Finance and help drive long-range planning and play a critical role in fundraising, investor relations, and M&A. Working closely with cross-functional teams and the FP&A Manager, you will evaluate investment opportunities across True Anomaly’s capital stack and guide leadership in making high-impact, data-driven decisions to help scale the organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Director of Finance in evaluation of opportunities and deployment of capital across organic and inorganic investment opportunities:
    • Drive analysis and understanding of strategic opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships ensuring alignment with company objectives
    • Prepare materials and present findings / recommendations to Senior and Executive Leadership, and where necessary the Board of Directors and investors
  • Investor Relations and Fundraising:
    • Prepare and maintain materials such as recurring and one-off investor updates and company overview materials
    • Support fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, by preparing detailed analysis, developing investor materials, managing due diligence, and engaging in investor conversations
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and valuation assessments to build and maintain understanding of our competitive landscape as well as to identify and evaluate growth opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, BD, and Programs) to drive corporate-level financial planning and capital allocation processes to support growth initiatives and resource prioritization
  • Maintain True Anomaly’s long-term financial model and accompanying long-range plan living document to guide leadership in strategic decision-making and scenario analysis
  • Forecast and analyze key performance metrics, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for financial and operational improvement
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and one-off Board of Directors meeting materials
  • Prepare and deliver ad-hoc analysis to support dynamic strategic decisions such as new business opportunities, customer / market shifts, or operational risks, ensuring timely and actionable insight 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6-10 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, private equity, or corporate development with a preference for A&D or Tech Industries 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, CFA is a plus) 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup environment paired with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, investor relations, and/or M&A transactions including valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence 
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation experience, with the ability to build robust, dynamic models for strategic planning and scenario analysis 
  • Deep knowledge of corporate finance and/or capital markets 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability and desire to collaborate cross-functionally 
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office application suite 

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: Los Angeles: $135,000-$170,000; Denver: $125,000-$160,000  
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work LocationWe observe a hybrid work environment, and expect three days per week in office at the Company’s Denver, CO headquarters or future Los Angeles, CA hub
