A new space race has begun. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build innovative technology that solves the next generation of engineering, manufacturing, and operational challenges for space security and sustainability.

OUR MISSION

The peaceful use of space is essential for continued prosperity on Earth—from communications and finance to navigation and logistics. True Anomaly builds innovative technology at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and AI to enhance the capabilities of the U.S., its allies, and commercial partners. We safeguard global security by ensuring space access and sustainability for all.

OUR VALUES

  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together

YOUR MISSION

As a member of our Engineering Internship Program, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical spacecraft systems. Internship responsibilities may include:

Mechanical Design of Ground Support Equipment (GSE):

  • Create detailed mechanical designs for GSE used during spacecraft integration, test, and launch operations, including lift fixtures, transport containers, and interface adapters.

Payload Interface Design:

  • Design structural and mechanical interfaces between spacecraft buses and payloads, ensuring compatibility with mission-specific environments and load conditions.

Wiring Harness Design and Routing:

  • Collaborate with electrical and avionics teams to define and optimize wiring harness layouts for power and signal routing across spacecraft subsystems.

Environmental Test Planning and Support:

  • Develop test plans, procedures, and visual storyboards for environmental qualification tests such as thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC). Support test execution and post-test analysis.

Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Algorithm Development:

  • Assist in the design, simulation, and testing of GNC algorithms for spacecraft attitude and orbit control, including modeling of sensors, actuators, and feedback control systems.

Propulsion System Integration and Analysis:

  • Support propulsion subsystem development, including thruster selection, feed system layout, and performance modeling for maneuver planning, orbit maintenance, and contingency scenarios.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with mentors and team members to apply your knowledge and develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage in cross-functional teamwork, interacting with engineers from various disciplines to solve complex challenges.
  • Showcase your work through presentations or project reviews.
  • Participate in social and professional events with fellow interns and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering discipline* at a four-year accredited university.
  • Experience in the development of aircraft, spacecraft, or similar systems (internships, laboratory, academic, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
  • Must be able to work full time, on-site at Denver, CO for 12 consecutive weeks beginning in late May/early June 2025.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation and housing.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
