Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation of Terminal’s
- Prepare terminals, this includes loading of latest software and downloading parameters and test transactions
- Clean terminals so that they are presentable
- Ensure that there are batteries in all mobile terminals, that are charged and working
- Check that terminals have covers and accessories
- Place the latest stickers on the terminals
- Ensure that there’s a full tally roll in the terminals
- Ensure that a required minimum number of terminals are always prepped as per the client’s order (if Bidvest order four for example, prepare four).
- Compile customer’s welcome packs (including instruction manuals)
- Send a daily email of list of prepped terminals to the Team Leader
- Train the Repair Centre new employees on different type of terminals
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepping of terminals
- Load the latest approved operating and customer software onto new terminals using memory sticks, UMS and/or PAXstore as per the specific customer software
- Load the required keys on terminals
- Where applicable, prepare new terminals for key injection by loading relevant key injection software using a memory stick.
- Hand over terminals to the relevant department for key injection.
- Prepare terminals for dispatch by putting them into boxes in accordance with customer requirements as per instruction from the line manager.
- Perform parameter downloads
- Ensure correct functionality of terminals
- Clean and package terminals
- Prepare terminals for shipping by packing terminals into boxes and making sure that all components are included
Customer Liaison
- Communicate with internal and external customers
- Internally, communicate with the Repair Centre Administrators and Inventory Clerk for shipping purposes. This communication is about the number of terminals linked to certain clients for the collection and delivery of terminals
- Provide feedback to the external customers (e.g. Bidvest, Capitec and so forth) on the work completed on terminals and clarify orders received (if required).
- Type and send emails to customers to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Receive tickets generated by the ACS Cape Town Helpdesk to prepare the terminals
- Respond to email and telephonic queries regarding the status of the units/terminals
