Meet the Team:
The Safety Strategy team within Product Engineering provides technical and functional expertise across multi-disciplinary teams and is responsible for ensuring Torc’s products meet appropriate safety/security standards. You will lead & co-ordinate activities associated with the implementation of safety/security standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Set-up safety/security plan.
- Track and monitor safety/security engineering activities and artifacts.
- Work closely with the engineers to ensure appropriate safety/security standards are implemented.
- Facilitation and creation of artifacts identified in the safety/security plan.
- Facilitation of and participation in process and technical reviews.
- Set-up DIA and align with development partners.
- Coordinate safety/security audit, assessment and prepare action plan based on assessment report.
- Support team by providing training to increasing engineering knowledge of appropriate safety/security standards and best practices.
- Identify gaps related to appropriate safety/security standards and best practices and communicate to management.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Strong knowledge of automotive, heavy duty trucks, or aerospace products and industries.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the application of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) or IEC 61508, and ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
- Strong experience in Systems engineering, preferably including in automotive software.
- Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of management.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain programs and initiatives simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change.
- Ability to thrive in a face-paced environment with quickly changing business needs.
- Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism.

US Pay Range
$168,800—$202,600 USD
