Meet the Team

Join the Autonomous Driving Kit (AD-Kit) Components Group, where we design, source, develop, build, and deliver highly scalable AD-Kit components, including an automotive-grade compute platform and cutting-edge sensor technologies. In close cooperation with our component suppliers, we ensure that each component is validated and verified against system-level and component requirements, following best-in-class functional safety and cybersecurity standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will own and drive the technical direction of the group at a systems level. This role spans across hardware engineering, software enablement, and systems engineering to ensure seamless component integration and validation. You will work on embedded computes, data logging, power distribution, smart antennas, and all sensor modalities (radar, LiDAR, camera, microphone, etc.).

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Lead the development of system, sub-system, safety, and cybersecurity requirement specifications.
  • Drive design discussions across hardware, software, functional safety, and validation teams.
  • Develop and implement testing and validation strategies to ensure component performance meets system requirements.
  • Collaborate with automotive Tier-1 suppliers, removing technical blockers to streamline project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating best practices into development processes.
  • Participate in system reviews and troubleshooting, driving root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues.
  • Mentor and guide engineers across the group, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience (Master’s with 7+ years).
  • Hands-on experience in hardware and software engineering.
  • Strong background in requirements management (DOORS, Jama) and automotive ECUs.
  • Experience with sensor modalities (LiDAR, radar, cameras, IMUs, microphones, GNSS).
  • Knowledge of data buses (CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, I2C).
  • Familiarity with high-speed signaling, signal integrity, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Proven ability to structure, decompose, delegate, and follow up on technical solutions.
  • Strong ability to align technical objectives with business value and articulate the impact.
  • Flexibility for travel to project sites, with potential for international travel as needed.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience in ISO 26262, ASPICE, and safety-critical systems for L4 autonomous applications.
  • Expertise in FMCW LiDAR, MEMS LiDAR, radar, RF technology.
  • Experience with processing and analyzing large sensor datasets for performance evaluation.
  • Programming experience in C, C++, Python, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of high-speed signals on PCBs (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR memory).

US Pay Range

$168,800$202,600 USD
