Position Overview

As a Staff Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our engineering team, building highly performant data processing solutions. Your role involves leveraging your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges, devising creative solutions, and providing guidance on complex engineering matters across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Technical Mastery:

• You will be a member of an engineering scrum team, driving implementation of the technical solutions and features that drive the growth of the business.

• You will design, develop, and maintain microservices following best practices, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other system components.

• You will create, optimize, and manage data structures and pipelines. Work with complex data models and ensure smooth data flow within the system.

• You will integrate external services and APIs as required to enhance functionality and interoperability.

• You will stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Problem Solving and Innovation:

• You will collaborate closely with data analysts, product managers, customer implementation specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions are aligned with the business needs.

• You will implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.

• You will promote best practices in coding, design, and development methodologies, maintaining quality and consistency across the team.

Independence and Mentorship:

• Provide guidance support and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

• Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and system scalability.

Basic Requirements:

• 8+ designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust full stack solutions, including work with microservices architecture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Sofware Engineering or related field, or 12+ experience in lieu of the degree.

• 8+ years hands-on experience building large-scale, distributed applications, demonstrating deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability

• 8+ years working with data storage solutions (SQL and NoSQL databases).

• 8+ years working in one or more object oriented or functional programming languages.

Preferred Requirements:

• Expertise with modern Web frameworks such as AngularJS, React.js, Next.js, or similar.

• In-depth familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure. 

• Experience with .NET is strongly preferred.

• Detail-oriented, with a focus on code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

***The US base salary range for this full-time position is:

$143,327.23 - $214,990.85
