Our mission is to build a scalable agent platform that empowers users and enterprises to harness AI for complex workflows and automation within Zoom.

About the Team

We are seeking highly experienced software engineers to join the AI Studio team. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing key components of AI Studio. Including function calling, unified search, task orchestration, and agent lifecycle management. You will work closely with AI researchers, platform engineers, and product teams to build a robust and extensible platform that supports first-party teams. This includes ISVs, and Zoom users in creating AI-powered agents.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing AI Studio’s agent lifecycle management capabilities, including development, testing, publishing, benchmarking, and diagnostics.

  • Architecting and implement scalable solutions for unified search, task store, function calling, and agent execution.

  • Collaborating with AI researchers to integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and multi-agent systems into the platform.

  • Developing APIs, SDKs, and developer tools to enhance AI Studio’s extensibility and ease of use.

  • Working on authentication and authorization (AuthN/AuthZ) mechanisms to enable secure integrations across first-party and third-party services.

  • Improving AI-powered search and retrieval capabilities by implementing RAG-optimized solutions.

  • Optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability of AI Studio components for large-scale enterprise use cases.

What we’re looking for

  • Have a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or a related field

  • Have 10+ of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.

  • Have expertise in programming languages such as Python, Go, C++, or Java.

  • Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Assistants, etc.

  • Have proficiency in designing and implementing scalable microservices and cloud-native architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Have knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, SSO, and enterprise security best practices.

  • Experience in building developer platforms, SDKs, or extensible AI tools.

  • Have a background in enterprise integrations, API management, and developer experience (DevEx) tooling.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$146 700,00

Maximum:

$339 300,00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
