Role Overview:
As a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be an integral part of the Data Platform group in India, leading the development of automated test suites and QA efforts of AWS cloud native applications, contributing to full software development lifecycle.
About role:
- Work closely with software developers, product managers, and team to understand new product requirements, development stories and define test strategies.
- Architect automation components for the product.
- Implement QA testing and automation suites for AWS cloud native application.
- Design, develop, and execute test automation for functional and non-functional test scenarios
- Design and execute test strategy for any complex features.
- Design and develop Non-functional test suites to deliver a performant, secure and scalable software system.
- Execute test cases, analyze test results, and report defects in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well in geographically dispersed teams
About you:
- 6+ years experience as a Software QA Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
- Strong knowledge of AWS services.
- Strong knowledge in security domain is preferred
- Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly, preferably using Python.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and instrumenting full SDLC automation in cloud native platform.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
