What you’ll do:
The Staff Product Manager does more than just “gather requirements from stakeholders.” You will develop products that define the future of our relationship with our customers. We work with data science teams, engineers, analysts, business teams, and marketers to solve some of the most complex, emotionally fraught problems consumers will ever face in their lives. We take the insights we’ve gained about our customers and their needs, how they shop for healthcare, and shape product strategy and invent new products. We are always asking ourselves where we might be losing, confusing, or distressing our customers, and what we can do to fix that. It’s a fun and absorbing challenge.
- Work closely with customers, partners, engineering, data science and leadership to define the product strategy and roadmap for an AI-First SaaS CRM solution to positively impact customer success.
- Drive solutions across the organization to deliver on key initiatives, taking ownership of key products through every stage of the life cycle, including idea generation, testing, deployment and measurements.
- Partner with product, engineering, UX research/design colleagues to identify and resolve platform dependencies, collaborating closely with engineering owners and architects to understand and contribute to architecture and design.
- Work with business stakeholders and development colleagues to define product requirements and write detailed user stories, handling the product backlog and prioritization.
- Champion and create buy-in for the product vision with key internal/external stakeholders and partners
- Ensure success of the team’s scrum process as product owner, owning the product backlog, grooming, prioritization, taking part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, demos, retrospectives and other ceremonies.
- Optimize product development processes to deliver projects on time, in scope, and on budget, increasing the rate of innovation, and magnifying the team’s impact across business units, including partner channels.
- Communicate product status, metrics, goals and performance clearly to internal stakeholders throughout the organization, including impacted teams (internal and external) across geographic locations.
- Help define market research and competitive analysis, using best benchmarking for new products, functions, and features
- Bring evidence based decision making in your communication, using both quantitative and qualitative feedback to prioritize and explain why for product decisions.
- Understand business objectives and existing solutions and influence product strategy and roadmap with new ideas that serve customers and eHealth.
- Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Primary Qualifications:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline

10+ years related experience as a product manager
-
Experience in SaaS (software as a service) & CRM
-
Experience in building AI powered enterprise solutions
-
Experience as a product owner in Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

Ability to work collaboratively, lead teams by influence to execute on deadline in an ambiguous environment, pitch in on whatever needs doing to get the job done.

Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and the ability to communicate the product vision, roadmap, backlog priorities and trade-offs, adapting messages to the audience, technical and non-technical.

Proficiency in tools such as Atlassian, Jira etc.

Experience in health care or insurance or another marketplace industry solutions a plus

Location:
This role is 100% remote, however the primary work hours are later PST as this person will work closely with teams in China.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
