About the Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant- Accounting Operations to join our growing Corporate Support Team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in AP processing, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.  The successful candidate would be mentored by our dynamic team of Accounting professionals while supporting/leading a range of multidisciplinary projects.

About Our Team

Our Accounting team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world and our existing client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems
• Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments
• Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
• Comply with national and local financial regulations
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
• Execute credit card reconciliation
• Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts payable
• Perform other accounting or administrative tasks as needed or assigned by management to support the department and organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (3+ years of experience )
• Proficient with relevant software such as Quick Books, Microsoft Suite, Excel and any other accounting software and online platforms.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and AP processes.
• Superb time management skills and detail oriented
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
• Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.

Additional Information
 

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Staff Accountant - Accounting Operations with a salary range of $52,200.00 - $75,300.00 .
