The Senior Technology Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Software Development and will work closely with onshore and offshore technology teams, QA, Scrum Masters, project sponsors, and key stakeholders (Business units, Integration Teams, Executive Management). This role will require collaborating with Business Analysts, Management, IT, QA, Development teams, and other business leaders.
The Senior Technology Project Manager will take overall responsibility for successfully implementing API products and processes, utilizing standardized API implementation approaches. This includes managing impact assessments, preparing implementation plans, tracking RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, coordinating resources, organizing required training, and ensuring the successful go-live of projects. The Senior Technology Project Manager and will oversee multiple projects, adjusting based on the complexity and size of each.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in managing integration teams and driving successful outcomes across both internal and vendor teams. The Senior Technology Project Manager will also ensure seamless and on-time delivery, leveraging strong analytical and leadership skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget. The candidate should have excellent delivery track record on multi-year complex migration and integration projects, ensuring successful outcomes with complex systems and business processes.

  • Lead full project lifecycle for software and process implementation projects from inception to successful delivery.
  • Oversee and implement Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Release Train Manager processes, across multiple projects and teams.
  • Facilitate and lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define and document Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (NRD, FRD, BRD, Technical Integration Docs).
  • Drive complex project delivery, from planning through post-project handover, including overseeing integration and legacy migration projects.
  • Develop and maintain project management plans, including scope, timelines, and deliverables, using software tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Manage the portfolio and project budgets, ensuring financial control, adherence to budgetary limits, and accurate financial reporting for all projects in the portfolio.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, effectively managing resources, timelines, and costs to meet expectations.
  • Demonstrate an excellent delivery track record in managing and delivering multi-year complex migration and integration projects, from initial planning through to successful execution.
  • Manage resource allocation, project financials, and vendor relationships, ensuring the projects meet budget and timeline expectations.
  • Prepare and manage Project Charters, Statements of Work (SOW), Purchase Orders, and vendor assessments.
  • Lead and manage project deliveries throughout the lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and track project metrics, ensuring effective reporting and proactive issue resolution to meet integration team commitments.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, ensure smooth communication and project updates with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support business units and integration teams by providing clear and concise deliverables and roadmaps, highlighting new product capabilities and system integrations.
  • Support adherence to API security standards, ensuring compliance with PCI and other regulatory standards.


Required Skills, Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is required.
  • SAFe Agile Certification or equivalent is required; additional Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with Security Standards and PCI Compliance.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business analysis and project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Expertise in project managing cross-functional teams and understanding diverse business requirements and stakeholder interests.
  • Ability to handle large portfolios of projects across various phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Experience in vendor management and negotiating contracts, delivering project scope, and maintaining relationships with integration teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing project and portfolio budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Experience delivering projects on time and on budget, with an ability to manage scope, timelines, and financial resources effectively.
  • Excellent delivery track record on multi-year complex migration and integration projects with a focus on complex system integrations and legacy systems transitions.
  • Solid executive communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders, managing integration team relationships, and leading project teams.
  • Strong execution focus, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Proven experience in managing legacy migration projects and overseeing the transition from older systems to new platforms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, normal core business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days in the Markham office.

Compensation 
Good faith target annual salary is $145,000 - $165,000 CAD commensurate with years and type of experience.
