About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 8+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing for frontend and backend systems, hands-on experience in writing automation scripts in Karate or Selenium frameworks, and a good understanding of test case management systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Karate or Selenium to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Perform manual testing on frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve defects efficiently.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Utilize TestRail for test case management, execution, and reporting.
• Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure automation scripts are integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers on testing best practices and automation strategies.
• Flexible to work in collaboration with US (Pacific Time) and IST hours as needed.

About You

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams timezones.
• Strong hands-on experience in writing automation scripts using tools such as Karate or Selenium.
• 6+ years of experience in manual testing (frontend & backend).
• Good knowledge of test case management tools such as TestRail.
• Proficiency in API testing, RESTful services, and database testing (SQL queries, etc.).
• Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and QA best practices.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Java, JavaScript.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS.
• Knowledge of security testing best practices.
