Your role

The Sr. Product Writer is a critical member of the cross-functional design and development teams and is a day-to-day member of the content team. As a user advocate, you'll craft content experiences that meet user needs and drive engagement, ensuring successful product adoption. Your deep understanding of Dialpad's products will enable you to transform complex ideas into clear, approachable language while maintaining a consistent tone across all platforms. A crucial aspect of this role is developing and evolving Dialpad's UX copy system. Your work will drive user engagement and retention while delivering a delightful customer experience.

What you'll do

  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and refine UX copy across various product experiences, including onboarding flows, in-product education, navigation, and core components of the user experience.
  • Brand Alignment: Infuse brand voice into all touchpoints, ensuring consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across platforms.
  • Strategy & Systems: Develop and maintain scalable content systems, frameworks, and guidelines to support consistent, high-quality user experiences.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align content with design and functionality, shaping a unified product narrative.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay updated on industry best practices, bringing innovative ideas to improve content strategy and execution.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Support additional initiatives such as naming conventions, marketing content, and other product-related narratives.

Skills you’ll bring

  • 6+ years of experience in UX copywriting. Additional background in creative copywriting, editorial, or marketing is a plus. 
  • Experience working with and contributing to a Design System, scalable copy system, or component library.
  • Proven experience collaborating successfully with product managers, product designers, product marketing managers, researchers, and data analysts to build exceptional product experiences.
  • Facility for breaking down complex concepts into clear, accessible language and leaning into moments of delight when appropriate. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Portfolio of compelling UX writing examples for business SaaS audiences.
