About the team
The Product Design at Dialpad sits at the forefront of helping every business have better conversations with their customers, driving sales, and improving team alignment through one one, beautiful, AI-powered workspace. Your role
As a Senior Product Designer at Dialpad, you play an integral role within your product area, working alongside Product and Engineering partners as well as other cross-functional partners. You’re seen as a leader within your product area, can navigate ambiguous projects well, understanding how to align your team to drive toward an actionable next step. You work with your product area partners to define strategy, roadmaps, timelines, and product goals. You also may mentor and assist other designers to help them grow.
What you’ll do
- Dig into complex problem spaces, identifying innovative features that advances Dialpad’s mission.
- Be a driver for all aspects of product design and execution, including pitching ideas, designing the experience (user experience, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and clearly communicating the solution. to all necessary stakeholders within the company.
- Design beautiful, intuitive experiences and workflows.
- Identify the needs of our customers, giving high-level strategic input to your product area team, and regularly looking for opportunities to improve our existing products and features.
- Help define the short and long-term roadmap with your product area peers.
- Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions.
- Communicate design decisions to leadership, product and design peers, and engineers.
Skills you’ll bring
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and drive end-to-end product and feature improvements.
- Ability to reduce complex problems to first principles to ensure the core issues are addressed.
- Exceptional visual design skills.
- Knowledge and passion for interaction design.
- Ability to prototype in Figma or other design tool (Bonus if you can do this in HTML).
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy.
- Ability to think through the impacts of your design before heavily investing your time.
- Ability to act as a Product Manager when needed to drive efforts forward.
- Ability to think creatively and develop novel, innovative solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
- A portfolio showcasing your work and strong visual design skills.
- 5+ years of product design experience.
- 5+ years of using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or other design tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time communication applications
- Experience working with desktop, mobile, and tablet applications
- Demonstrated experience working with Ai in product design
