Job Summary
AmeriLife is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Procurement Analyst to join our team. The Senior Procurement Analyst will play a key role in helping to lead vendor contract negotiations, procurement activities, ensuring the efficient sourcing of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
This role requires strong experience in negotiating vendor agreements and understanding of procurement processes, attention to detail, and the ability to manage data effectively. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, software, and services that support the operational needs of our business.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Contract Negotiation: Negotiate vendor contracts for SaaS, software/hardware, service, consulting/professional services, marketing, Human Resources, and other needs as identified. Collaborate with internal teams (finance, operations, and legal) to understand the company’s needs and ensure procurement strategies align with business goals.
- Procurement Analysis: Analyze purchasing data and trends to identify cost-saving and leveraging opportunities and improve procurement strategies. Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and market trends.
- Vendor Management: Assist in evaluating and managing vendor relationships. Conduct vendor performance reviews, negotiate terms, and collaborate to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.
- Procure-to-Pay Support: Will work in ERP system helping to facilitate requisition creation, manage purchase orders and invoice reconciliation.
- Contract Administration: Support the procurement team in preparing, reviewing, and managing vendor contracts. Ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Budget Management: Support the budgeting process by tracking procurement costs and ensuring purchases align with budgetary constraints.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process. Help streamline procurement workflows and implement best practices.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP efforts in conjunction with the end-user business. This includes gathering business requirements, researching and identifying qualifying vendors, creating the RFx, demonstrations, compiling vendor responses into Executive-Level presentations, and oversee final award.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of proven contract negotiation experience in procurement, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive-level management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of insurance products and services is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
- Experience with Coupa or other ERP procurement platforms.
