Job Summary

The Senior BA leads the analysis and documentation of business requirements and processes, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills, advanced analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of business and technology integration.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  • Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements.
  • Analyze and document complex business processes and systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and finance to ensure alignment of business goals with technology solutions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior business analysts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of software and vendors.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status and issues effectively.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and coordinate deployment activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis and process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

EXPERIENCE :

  • 5 – 7 years of Healthcare experience, with experience in business analysis, preferably within the healthcare industry or in roles involving COB and TPL
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance and relevant regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines, in COB and TPL processes a plus
  • Experience with data analysis tools/software (e.g. Excel, Access, SQL, Tableau) and other database querying languages to extract and manipulate data to report COB and TPL activities
  • Knowledge of database design principles to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets, analyze complex problems, identify root causes and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership skills
