The Role
We’re looking for a Sr. People Business Partner to join our team! Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, managers and Cedarians to provide strategic insight and guidance on organizational development and design, all facets of people management, development, and training, recognition and reward and change management. You’ll be the go-to person in the People team for members of Cedar’s Growth organization, which includes our Sales, Client Management, Marketing, Commercial Strategy and Delivery teams. You’ll collaborate deeply with Cedar’s President and his leadership team, assisting them with leveraging people-related processes and policies and on project and program development that will enhance their team’s levels of engagement and productivity, and will accelerate their and Cedar’s growth.
At Cedar, people are core to our business and the Sr. People Business Partner will provide tactical and strategic support to all members of the Growth organization. Responsibilities
- Partner with department heads, managers, and individual team members on core People processes (ie performance management and internal mobility, compensation review, headcount planning, team design, change management and communications, employee engagement, and immigration)
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the People and Business Partnership team, as well as Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Experience and People Operations to develop relevant, shared People team goals and execute on Cedar’s people-centric talent strategy, ensuring we’re properly resourced against Cedar’s top business priorities
- Act as an internal subject matter expert on employment and labor regulations and compliance, as well as Cedar’s policies, and proactively manage risk; collaborate with the People Operations and Legal teams on the same
- Conduct new hire onboarding sessions and talent check-ins, and partner with the People team on evolving Cedar’s people management and development programs as needed
- Delve into qualitative and quantitative data to work with managers to identify top talent opportunities, develop KPIs and devise project plans for evolution and improvement
- Build strong, trusting relationships with Cedarians and leaders across all levels of the organization and leverage these relationships to achieve buy-in on key People initiatives and help Cedar achieve its talent goals
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in HRBP and/or HR leadership role, preferably in a high-growth environment
- Experience supporting employees, managers and executives on strategic People programming and projects
- Willingness to embrace ambiguity and take a nuanced and collaborative approach to HR and people partnership
- Experience providing performance coaching to others and the ability to support managers and employees in goal setting and coaching efforts
- Familiarity working in a fast paced, high performance culture where the business is constantly evolving
- Ability to apply past experience and training to anticipate organizational and employee issues or opportunities and address them proactively
- Willingness to work outside a narrow job description and act as a key collaborator across People team initiatives
- Strong analytical skills to develop the right metrics, access necessary data, synthesize and report out on learnings, and devise action plans
Compensation Range and Benefits
- Salary Range*: $170,000 - $200,000
- This role is also equity eligible
