As part of the Databricks Payroll team, you will become part of a growing dynamic global organization that is helping our customers solve some of their toughest problems. You will report to the Sr. Director, Global Payroll.
The Senior Payroll Analyst role will support our payrolls globally, ensuring accurate and timely payroll month end procedures. You will work with our payroll vendors, internal partners, and end-users, supporting daily activities, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting our project roadmap, and ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.
The impact you will have:
- Assist International Accounting with daily and monthly accounting and reconciliation questions consistent with established standards for all payroll and equity related transactions.
- Support with Databricks quarterly and annual external and internal audits.
- Provide GL flux support to accounting and financial planning leadership.
- Work closely with Payroll Operations and Equity Admin to identify new transactions that have accounting impacts, require new pay components, GL mapping changes, etc.
- Maintain strict data security standards when accessing, utilizing, and sharing confidential payroll and equity related data.
- Identify improvement areas within payroll and accounting operations, make suggestions and take lead on implementing those improvements
- Help drive payroll projects and key OKRs annually, PMO support
Outcomes:
- Support Payroll Manager with technical accounting expertise in support of the Company's payroll operations, forecast & budgeting, and financial reporting
- Help document and develop standardized payroll procedures, process, and controls including oversight and segregation of duties
- Alignment with payroll operating teams globally, identifying compliance changes or risks
- Increased flexibility to scale and provide redundancy and knowledge sharing
What we look for:
- Understanding of US and international payroll components including salary, benefits, sales compensation, bonuses, equity, and taxes.
- Knowledge of payroll GL transaction types including compensation, 401k loans and contributions, FSA, HSA, wires and manual checks, garnishments, and taxes.
- Experience working with cross functional teams in payroll, equity, financial reporting, treasury, and FP&A
- Strong excel skills, Google tools, communication and organization skills required
