Job Title: Sr. Manager, US Payroll & Implementation
Location: Miami, FL
We are seeking a senior Payroll Manager to lead US Payroll Implementation project responsible for transitioning to a new payroll vendor and system in the US as well as overseeing Payroll operations post go live in Galderma North America.
To start with, in this role, you will act as the subject matter expert for payroll processes, ensuring business and technical requirements are accurately implemented in the new system working with the current payroll specialist and PSC partner, to ensure (Workday) HR administration and payroll processes are integrated in an end to end service model.
You will lead and thus coordinate HR Operations team’s involvement during testing phases, document key requirements, and support smooth execution of this critical project, till service commencing go live.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Management:
· Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to define and validate business and technical requirements for the new payroll system.
· Ensure all payroll regulations, compliance needs, and operational requirements are accurately captured and addressed in system configurations.
· Maintain up-to-date documentation of all requirements, processes, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Testing Coordination & Execution:
· Lead the HR Operations team’s involvement in testing activities, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and parallel runs.
· Develop and document test scenarios, use cases, and scripts to validate the new system’s functionality and alignment with requirements.
· Analyze and troubleshoot issues discovered during testing, working closely with the vendor and internal teams to resolve them.
3. Process Optimization & Documentation:
· In collaboration with US Payroll Process Expert (project resource), review and refine payroll workflows to align with the capabilities of the new system and best practices.
· Document updated processes, workflows, and operational procedures to support a seamless transition for the payroll team.
· Ensure all process documentation is easily accessible and clearly communicates system functionality and operational steps.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination:
· Work closely with the Project Manager, payroll vendor, HR Operations (Payroll and PSC Partners) team and other internal stakeholders to ensure HR operation’s project milestones are achieved.
· Act as the bridge between HR Operations, IT, and Finance teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
· Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions to the project team and leadership.
5. Change Management & Knowledge Transfer:
· Support the development and delivery of training materials for HR Ops and end-users to ensure understanding of new processes and system functionality.
· Act as a payroll subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance and support to ensure a successful transition.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
· 7/8 years of experience in payroll operations, with significant involvement in system implementations or payroll vendor transitions. Deep expertise in setting up and managing end to end managed service payroll service delivery model.
