Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tax projects through the development of tax strategy and optimization involving both U.S. and non-U.S. international tax issues.
- Lead cross-functional projects involving international restructuring, M&A activities, and divestitures.
- Manages the preparation and review of selected international components of the company’s ASC 740 calculations and related issues for financial statement reporting.
- Responsible for the tax SOX testing for selected locations globally.
- Oversee the quarterly and year-end review of FIN 48 tax reserves.
- Involvement in tax controversy matters involving both U.S. and non-U.S. international tax matters.
- Mentor and develop less-experienced tax professionals.
- Interpret, implement, and inform senior leadership of material changes in U.S. and non-U.S. international tax laws.
- Consults and develops solutions on highly technical and complex tax issues and transactions to both tax professionals and non-tax professionals.
- Contribute to the team of professionals who develop and implement the company’s global tax strategies.
- Lead the Tax Departments efforts to meet and maintain its responsibilities with respect to selected tax-related controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or relevant field) and 12+ years of experience including 1-2 years of managerial experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the tax lifecycle: Governance (Tax Accounting, Compliance, Processes and Controls).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Possess excellent tax-technical knowledge and the ability to maintain and broaden that knowledge.
