Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager, Product Management will report to the [Managing Director, Product Management] in the Digital Product Development Organization. This role will help lead the product vision and delivery of initiatives for our [Health & Benefits / Retirement & Wealth] business line and be a trusted peer of a team of engineers, designers, architects and business leaders. The incumbent will be laser focused on developing solutions that delights our customers and delivers value (revenue growth, improved operational efficiency and member satisfaction) with simpler and superior product experiences. They will also be responsible for developing products from concept to successful delivery and adaptation.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Translate business, client and consumer needs into end to end, innovative digital solutions.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and other key business partners including User Experience Research and Design teams across Discovery, Design and Define and create a product vision, understand and help identify business value.
  • Develops and executes product roadmaps with a focus on measurable outcomes (OKRs and KPIs) that align with company priorities and department objectives
  • Help drive strategy - conduct product and competitive research to help shape long and short-term strategy while providing quick and clear value add to the business.
  • Proactively collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Design, Marketing, and Sales to understand market needs, identify and define new and improved product capabilities and ruthlessly prioritize based on business and customer value.
  • Regularly tracks and proactively shares key initiative and roadmap health with management, business stakeholders and the team
  • Help develop, influence and manage a 1-3 year product roadmap that outlines the product's evolution over time, taking into consideration iterative phases.
  • Make informed, data-backed decisions about features and improvements to prioritize based on customer feedback, market demand, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • Develops Business Cases and drives positive business outcomes using OKRs and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the product performance
  • Defines and maintains team and product dashboard metrics and monthly reports
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to product managers and business analysts, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and other departments to facilitate collaboration and achieve common goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the team.
  • Meets regularly with staff and provides constant feedback to power professional growth and learning
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Identify areas for development and create plans to enhance team members' skills.
  • Remove barriers for the team, ensuring team members have all the tools, resources, and context to execute.
  • Address challenges and conflicts that arise within the team or projects. Make decisions that balance various factors and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to a team of employees. Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and ensure effective communication within the team.


Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team(s)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Scrum Product Owner or Certified Product Manager credentials preferred
  • User-Centric / Design Thinking experience preferred


Skills & Abilities:

  • Background in Financial Services and Fintech strongly preferred
  • Understanding of modern platform and technology solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong bias towards action and a proactive nature
  • Strong organizational skills with a drive to meet deadlines.
  • Proven leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams
  • An affinity for accuracy and efficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge) and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An aptitude for data-driven prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. Able to A drive to learn and apply new concepts quickly.

  • Infrequent travel (10%)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds


Compensation & Benefits
$145,000-$170,000 per year
