This role will report directly to the VP, Device Care Centers and is responsible for developing and delivering the learning technology strategy that will enable the
operations within each department in becoming a high-performance learning
organization. The Sr Manager of Learning Experience and Content Creation will be both the instructional Designer (who is responsible for consulting with internal stakeholders to recommend learning solutions, designing, and developing solutions that meet and/or accelerate business objectives), and the Training Leader (who is responsible for supporting and managing the training activities across various shifts).
This person stays informed of current learning methodologies and technologies for a
varied and diverse adult workforce. Has knowledge of a variety of learning
methodologies, recommends appropriate and innovative solutions, and completes the
design and development of all web-based, virtual, on-the-job, and classroom materials.
As the Sr Manager, they will lead and inspire the innovation and training team and create solid professional relationships with management at all levels within the business.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Consult with subject matter experts to understand business objectives and
uncover learning needs

Advise internal clients on cost-effective methods of training delivery that
impact learner performance and, ultimately, business performance

Complete analyses of learning needs and objectives for the defined project.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) by which to measure project success

Gain agreement on a learning approach that achieves KPIs and supports
and/or accelerates business objectives

Build a deep understanding of the business (where we are, where we are
headed, strengths and challenges) and strong business relationships so that we are best positioned to diagnose current and anticipate future needs

Create learning experiences that support or accelerate business objectives using a variety of learning methodologies appropriate for a diverse adult direct labor and middle management workforce.

Remain current on existing and emerging learning methodologies and

technologies

Own the design and build of fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, sustainable
solutions, leveraging a digital first approach when appropriate

Work with subject matter experts to transform knowledge into learning
solutions

Develop sound training deliverables including design documents, storyboards,
job aids, participant and instructor guides, and accompanying materials.

Communicate project status to the project manager and other key
stakeholders, ensuring that all deliverable deadlines are met.

Provide process improvement recommendations.

Work with stakeholders to understand the desired business outcomes and
training outcomes at the start of a project.

Work with internal partners to obtain and report on learning-related data

Conduct and participate in project review meetings.

Provides general oversight, leadership and technical direction for learning.

Mentor and develop the learning and development teams including training team.

Management System (LMS) requirements.

Manages the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the learning system by collaborating with various departments.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
-
5 years of instructional design experience
-
5 – 7 years in a training and development function
-
Expertise on a variety of Learning Management Systems – Workday preferred

Experience with leading and executing development projects to address customer LMS
-
Digitally-savvy, is aware of and keeps pace with technology that can be used to deliver innovative solutions.

Must be metrics driven utilizing benchmarking and analysis to create, revise and reshape instructional programs.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Bachelor’s degree preferred in adult learning, instructional design or related field

Experience working in a fast-paced organization within the technology, mobile, or financial services sectors

Familiarity with Workday LMS
Pay Range:
$86,000.00 - $143,700.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
