Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager for our Acquiring Consulting Services within the VISA Consulting and Analytics team, who will support the delivery of high-impact projects to our clients in MENA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of acquiring services within banks and financial institutions and a strong consulting background from top tier consulting firms. He will be responsible for leading, managing and executing strategic projects and initiatives related to acquiring services, running consulting projects with acquirers and banks, and supporting the growth of the practice. This role involves providing key analysis to shape the insights we deliver to our clients and ensuring effective project delivery.

Responsibilities include

Conduct data analysis using Visa and external data, synthesizing them to develop insights, recommendations, and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with clients across the assigned region.

Drive the development and execution of data-driven insights to improve decision-making and performance.

Assume full project management responsibility for the assigned projects, from running project work streams on a daily basis to ensuring effective delivery and outcomes. This includes being the primary liaison with the client and internal stakeholders for project updates, managing risk and quality of project deliverables, and providing implementation support as needed.

Work closely with the engagement team, project manager, and client representative to deliver projects.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize acquiring services operations.

Run consulting projects with acquirers, banks, and financial institutions, providing support or leading on developing hypotheses and presenting findings to the client.

Provide client project implementation support as needed

Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals for new client work, assisting in developing our product offerings, and marketing to external and internal clients.

Support knowledge sharing with consulting teams in other regions to incorporate best practice and bring a global perspective to local clients.

Contribute to the development of Visa Consulting & Analytics thought leadership materials in the acquiring business.

Ensure compliance with all regulations and controls by examining and re-engineering processes, reviewing system controls, and escalating issues as necessary.

Work closely with other Visa groups, including Products, BD, Risk, Marketing, Digital Solutions, Digital Partnerships & Ventures, Innovation Center etc., to ensure a seamless consulting experience.

Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in acquiring services.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

A well-qualified candidate will have expertise in Payments Consulting across key areas of focus
Business needs of especially Acquirers and payment acceptance providers including Products, VAS, Portfolio, Digital, and Risk e.g., strategy, acquisition, customers and channels full potential, innovation, mobile platforms, digital ecosystems, authorization etc.
Best practices to meet customer needs across the customer lifecycle stages (acquisition, activation, usage, reactivation and retention)
Industry trends, such as evolving economics of payments, new customer value propositions, increasing digitalization and development of digital channels, increasing use of advanced analytics and other technologies in payments and targeting, changing regulatory environment, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in payments and acquiring services within banks or financial institutions with at least 3 years of experience in management consulting and deep consulting skills
Combination of regional and global experience is also desired
Diplomatic skills to work in a multi-functional environment and ability to extract desired outcomes.
Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA
Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills
Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator
Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused
Able to travel and work on client site
Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
