The Job:  

As Sr Analyst, you’ll be part of our IT Manufacturing team, working as a virtual employee.    You’ll get to:  

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenge.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize and get things done
  • Works with Architects, Developers and various teams to translate business requirements into functional / technical specs
  • Conducts business process analyses, system assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align IT solutions with business initiatives.
  • Validates business and technical requirements are met during the project delivery process.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve technology problems in manufacturing facilities in timely manner.
  • Creates, reviews, and delivers end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, training materials) and training.
  • Oversees System Integration (SIT) & User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure business and system requirements are met for projects & enhancements.
  • Stay up to date on the latest manufacturing information technology trends and technologies.
  • Work with software providers, IT managed service providers and business to architect, design deliver and maintain manufacturing IT software

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 10 yrs. of experience with strong knowledge of IT Manufacturing processes & Shopfloor applications and Industrial networking
  • Familiarity with network equipment and devices, such as switches, routers, and patch panels
  • Excellent understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP)
  • Proficient in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs etc.)
  • Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs)
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds)
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
  • Implemented Tulip Player for MES solutions, enabling real-time data collection and analysis on the shop floor
  • Experience in designing and implementing Tulip Interfaces solutions for manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in integrating Tulip with various hardware devices and systems, including Snowflake and other cloud connectors.
  • Knowledge in Active Directory (AD) administration and management, SAML implementation and configuration, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, Federation protocols (Entra ID, SAML, OAuth), User provisioning and deprovisioning, Security and access controls.
  • Configured and managed Kepware Server for industrial automation systems, ensuring seamless data communication between devices and software applications
  • Established communication channels using various industrial protocols, such as OPC, MQTT, and Modbus
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect IT and OT systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and stakeholders in both IT and OT domains. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with system configuration, and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT and OT systems, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate system performance, security risks, and improvement recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SOPAPUI, Swagger)-Preferred
  • Knowledge of an MES or related system like, Ignition from Inductive Automation, Mattec from Epicor or another MES platform- Preferred
