A Day in the LifeJoin our Northridge CA Manufacturing facility, where you will use your strategic expertise and consultation in workforce planning, employee engagement and retention, talent development, and coaching.
As the HR Program Manager (HRBP), you will partner with manufacturing leaders to build strong teams and engage employees while closely collaborating with HR Centers of Expertise to drive solutions. You will utilize your HR expertise to develop strong relationships with managers and employees at all levels of the organization through various communication methods.
This direct manufacturing site support role is in our Northridge, CA facility. Flexibility is provided one day per week.

In this onsite role, you will:

Design, implement, and execute human resources strategies for manufacturing sites and functional groups (OPEX, Engineering, Quality, Production, EHS, Facilities)

Drive structural and organizational design and development solutions and change management activities to improve organizational effectiveness. Partner with site leadership to develop and implement strategies based on our fast-paced & inclusive culture.

Nimbly lead the organization through periods of significant change.

Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business leaders. Partner with site manufacturing leadership to ensure an effective organization structure, design, and staffing models in line with organizational capability requirements, helping increase overall organization effectiveness.

Be a trusted coach and advisor to the site leader. Advise and counsel leaders on identifying and attracting key talent, developing succession plans, utilizing recognition and rewards, and helping managers drive performance improvement and career growth within their teams.

Work with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) on talent acquisition efforts, employee relations initiatives, restructuring efforts, compensation, talent development, and more.

Play an essential role as a participating Northridge Manufacturing leadership team member, continuing to foster a high-performing, highly collaborative, and inclusive team atmosphere to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Play an important role in the West HR Platform team, providing input into HR strategy and service delivery and participating in projects that influence the broader Global Manufacturing teams.

Improve manager capability by coaching and implementing management development programs and opportunities; identify leadership development needs. Gather and analyze data and trends to determine key organizational needs within the site and facilitate decision-making with proactive solutions that solve these needs. Communicate findings and solutions through established operating mechanisms.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant Human Resources experience, OR an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant Human Resources experience
Nice to Have: Preference will be given to applicants with the following skills, experiences, and certifications.

Experience in manufacturing and/or other business that operates 24/7.

Previous HRBP roles in medical device, technology, or healthcare, supporting leadership teams in developing and executing HR Strategy in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to influence in a complex matrixed environment.

Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced business with evolving priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to effectively communicate with ~900 employees and contingent labor.

Well-rounded Generalist background with in-depth knowledge of all functional areas of HR.

Lean Sigma experience

Demonstrated ability to accomplish work through others, including leading project teams with experience initiating and leading change, modeling the importance, motivating others, managing the key drivers of change, and overcoming obstacles.

Strong coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$139,200.00 - $208,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
