What are the activities of a Frontend Engineer?
- Understanding and analyzing system requirements
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Work with UX designers to deliver effective, high-quality user interfaces.
- Build reusable components for our design system.
- Develop and deploy solutions focusing on end-user experience, high availability, low latency, and scalability.
- Take operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team, including taking part in an on-call rotation.
- In collaboration with the team, participate in the creation of a technology roadmap.
- Actively participate in code reviews, providing insights in terms of performance, security, best practices, and overall code quality.
- Share knowledge, promote standard methodologies, and collaborate with some of the best engineers in the company.
- Write clear and concise documentation.

- Experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Knowledge of CSS and Post Processors , Package Managers and HTML
- Knowledge with Module Blunders
- Knowledge of React
- Knowledge of Unit Testing
If you have the next skills and experience it will be a super plus:
- Experience working with design system (e.g. Bootstrap)
- Experience working in an Agile environment. (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience working with REST/GraphQL APIs
- Good understanding of web performance, how browsers and DOM works, and rendering strategies
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms, and how to apply them to craft pragmatic solutions
- Experience with Docker and DEVOPs tools
- Experience with integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience with Web Security Basics and OWASP
- Experience with Microfrontend

Yalo helps businesses offer a delightful customer experience on their customers' favorite apps – Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat. Every business on Yalo has a virtual assistant with an optimized flow that handles customer requests to the point of payment and fulfillment. If at any point the customer need is beyond what the chatflow is capable of doing, the request gets seamlessly transferred to a human agent to provide resolution. Through the Yalo platform, businesses get an artificial intelligence powered CRM that allows them to handle sales and build personal relationships, at scale, on Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and WeChat.
Yalo uses deep learning (a machine learning technique) to have chatbots learn from their human counterparts to continuously improve the experience. The team behind Yalo is composed of Columbia University and Salamanca engineers, former PayPal technical leads, and is supported by a group of investors from New York, Mexico and Latin America.
