The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance is a critical member of the Corporate Strategic Finance team, which owns a variety of enterprise-level performance management responsibilities, including enterprise performance measurement and commentary, planning, valuation, goal setting, and analytics. This role will report into the VP Corporate FP&A.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ year's experience of strategic finance experience and a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Expertise in overseeing financial planning and reporting, including processes & leading strategic dialogues with senior leaders regarding outputs and insights. Experience and broad understanding of financial consolidation processes

  • Problem Solving – can look to a broad range of solutions, navigates complex subject matters and perseveres in identifying appropriate solutions.

  • Business Acumen – broad understanding of different areas of the business, key drivers and performance metrics.

  • Highly skilled at generating data reports, analysis, and scorecards for current performance and for future performance forecasts taking into account a range of complex factors and variables and presenting such results effectively to senior leaders.

  • Ability to business partner and facilitate complex and sensitive discussions to influence business processes, governance & systems.

  • Strategic Agility – forward-thinking in anticipating future consequences and trends.

  • High attention to detail, precision and focus on quality work outputs.

  • Independent Thinking – unafraid to think outside the box and propose fresh perspectives.

  • Team oriented, goals oriented, and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Support periodic management reporting by preparing accurate, timely review of financial performance, recommending reporting enhancements to highlight value creation opportunities, and leveraging digital tools to compliment financial KPIs (i.e., customer, commodity, PVM, and operational metrics)

  • Support analysis and insights of financial performance and resource allocation for recurring leadership meetings (i.e., MLT, Board, Family, Senior Leadership)

  • Team liaison to FinTech to ensure digital tools and financial reporting systems support business requirements

  • Lead quarterly Insight Series to ensure topics are relevant to FP&A communities, organize guest speakers, and lead analysis together with team members to provide actionable insights and tools to support value creation

  • Collaborate with Connected Integrated Planning Team and Global FP&A leads to ensure that planning and forecast submissions support enterprise management reviews

  • Support IVCP process through analysis, insights, and summary of results for management reviews

  • Support ad hoc projects in alignment with Senior Director of Strategic Finance and Segment CFOs to unlock value creation

  • Play an important role towards other team members (T3/T2) by occasionally coaching and delegating tasks in agreement with the Senior Director of Strategic Finance

  • Serve as a key resource for the Corporate VP of Strategic Finance & Connected Planning and the Mars, Inc. CFO
